Unconference > Thanks
Thanks for reading this. I hope it’s useful. Let me know whether or not.
I mostly learn by doing. My first unconference was Local Gov Camp Yorkshire and Humber on Saturday 12 June 2010. My latest was The Facilitator's Unconference on Wednesday 1 November 2023.
That’s over a decade of experience. Hence I call myself an unconference expert, and this book.
Special thanks to everyone who let me help run their unconferences. Your faith is why this exists. To mention you all would take several pages. So here’s the key peeps and why:
Steph Gray and Dave Briggs for letting me volunteer to help run UKGovCamp.
Vanessa Montgomery Williams, Sarah “Baskers” Baskerville, Jane O'Loughlin, Hugh Wells, David Durant, David Buck and Amanda Smith for letting me continue to be involved in UKGovCamp.
Rebecca Strickland, Pauline Roche, Mark Braggins, Lucy Knight, Giuseppe Sollazzo and Angharad Stone for letting me be involved in Open Data Camp, which was a blast, especially letting me emcee.
Kit Collingwood and James Reeve for co-founding OneTeamGov and letting us try new ways of sourcing unconference discussion topics at scale.
David Heath for coming up with those new ways for both in-person and virtual unconferences.
David Buck (again) for testing those new ways with me at various Civil Service Live events, and for being a lovely human being. Thank you `(-:````````
